Ezra p. Scott Jr.

Empire State Fellow at NYS Department of Public Service 

Ezra P. Scott Jr. is a dedicated public servant committed to uplifting communities and empowering the next generation of change makers.

A native of Niagara Falls, NY, and now proudly based in Albany, he serves as an Empire State Fellow in the Executive Office of the New York State Department of Public Service, focusing on public education, stakeholder engagement, and inclusive decision-making informed by lived experience.

Bio

Ezra's journey has been shaped by the belief that there is wisdom in the multitude of counsel. Mentorship gave him the confidence to grow and the clarity to lead, inspiring his ongoing commitment to helping others do the same.

He is the Founding Chapter President of Albany Professionals Under 40, serves on the Executive Committee of the Albany NAACP, and is a member of the Reimagine Albany coalition, where he advocates for environmental justice and community-driven redevelopment along the I-787 corridor.

Ezra holds an MBA and a Master's in Education from Niagara University and is a 2024 graduate of the Catalyst for Change Leadership Program with the Community Foundation for the Greater Capital Region. He is proud to support the journeys of the Littles and Bigs shaping the future of the Capital Region and beyond.
