Alumni Engagement Officer at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute

Sara is a jack of all trades and a Master of Building relationships. Sara inspires and empowers those around her to be their best selves and see their full potential. 

She brings over 15 years of marketing and business experience to the table. Prior to starting her career in higher education, Sara was involved in the commercial construction and trades industry and is passionate about creating awareness to the younger, female generation about how valuable these careers are. 

Bio

With previous practice spearheading internal Personnel Growth Committees and assisting with Strategic Planning initiatives, she is a wearer of many hats and enjoys collaboration, working with different teams, and bringing people together. One of Sara's professional accomplishments is implementing communication and team building at a previous organization. Sara was able to bridge gaps between different generations and departments, implement new reward and recognition tactics for employees, and best of all, see employees come together as a team to brainstorm and put more efficient methods into place.

Sara resides in Troy and is a Capital Region Chamber Leadership Tech Valley graduate of 2020 and sat on the LTV Steering and Alumni Committees.

She was named the 2024 Girls Inc. of the Capital Region’s Woman of the Year and is currently the Chair for the Women's Council for Girls. Outside of work, Sara enjoys working on creative marketing projects, cuddling with her pups, laughing, and spending time with her family and friends.
